A schoolyard exercise project with BARbara typically runs in seven steps: first call, site check (around 15 m² plus safety zone), concept and quote, application by the school authority, approval, delivery and installation, and opening with instruction. Duration depends mainly on the state’s funding procedure.
- 1Step 1
First call
We clarify the school’s goals, the state and the funding status. You receive our documentation and the short-concept template.
- 2Step 2
Site check
Is there space for around 15 m² plus the required safety zone? What is the surface like? We check this together using photos and a site plan.
- 3Step 3
Concept & quote
The school adapts the short concept; we provide a firm quote with the chosen material variant for the application.
- 4Step 4
Application by the school authority
The school authority submits the application with concept, quote and financing plan to the responsible state body.
- 5Step 5
Approval
After approval, the school authority places the order in accordance with its procurement rules. Do not order before approval unless the guideline explicitly allows an early start.
- 6Step 6
Delivery & installation
BARbara is delivered and installed on the prepared foundation.
- 7Step 7
Opening & instruction
Staff are introduced to the station and the QR exercise library – ideally with a kick-off session for pupils.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the whole project take?
That depends mainly on the state’s funding procedure and the school authority’s procurement. The installation itself takes little time.
Can we order before approval?
Generally no – an early start can jeopardise funding. Only if the guideline explicitly permits it.
Who prepares the foundation?
This is clarified in the quote – depending on the site and the school authority’s preferences.
