Ask for "the price of an outdoor fitness park" and you will get a misleading number, because the equipment is only one part of the budget. A transparent plan separates the cost drivers.

The five cost blocks

  1. Equipment — the fitness system itself. A BARbara system can be installed from under €15,000 to under €20,000, depending on the material variant and configuration. It is a guide figure; a precise quote depends on your setup.
  2. Groundwork & foundations — excavation and the point or strip foundations the equipment anchors into.
  3. Fall-protection surface — from budget-friendly loose fills up to seamless poured EPDM (see our surface comparison).
  4. Installation — assembling the modules. Because BARbara needs no special machinery, a municipal works yard, a club's own volunteers or a regional landscaping firm can handle it.
  5. Certification — the inspection by a qualified inspector before the park opens.

Why the material variant moves the price

BARbara comes in three variants, and this is a real lever on the equipment cost:

VariantCharacter
Hot-dip galvanizedRobust, decades of weather resistance
Galvanized + powder-coatedCustom colours (club, city or park palette)
Stainless steel V2APremium, maximum weather and vandalism resistance

The hidden number: total cost of ownership

Upfront price is visible; lifetime cost is where projects are won or lost. Equipment with moving, mechanical parts wears out and generates recurring repair and replacement costs. BARbara deliberately has no moving parts — the bolts are recessed and it is built to withstand heavy impact — so ongoing maintenance is minimal. There is no electricity, no heating and no staffing cost; the park is usable 365 days a year.

Serial production adds a further saving: because systems are made in series and held as stock rather than custom-fabricated one by one, both price and lead time drop.

Getting an accurate figure

Because groundwork and surfacing depend on your specific site, the honest way to a real number is a tailored estimate. The finder captures your location type and requirements and routes you to a budget estimate for your project.
